March Fishing Report | Tahoe Sportfishing

March delivered our strongest month on the water this year!

We wrapped up the month with 653 total fish caught, a major increase compared to the past few months and a great sign as we move into the spring season.

The bite picked up significantly, with consistent action throughout the month. Our captains found productive days on the water, with steady Mackinaw fishing and improving overall conditions.

In addition to Mackinaw, we also landed 2 Brown Trout, adding a bit of variety to the month’s catch.

You can view our full Lake Tahoe fishing reports here to see how conditions have changed throughout the season.

Fish of the Month

A 10 lb Mackinaw caught on March 22nd with Captain Bobby (pictured below), one of the standout fish from a strong month on Lake Tahoe.

It’s been great to see the fishing continue to improve as the weather warms up, and we’re looking forward to carrying this momentum into the coming months. As we move through spring, fishing continues to improve. We break this down further in our guide to spring fishing on Lake Tahoe.

We’re fishing daily and taking reservations, we’d love to have you back out on the lake.
