About

Started working for Tahoe Sport Fishing in 1990 as a deckhand for the original owner, Dean Lockwood. Seven years later, he and his wife, Shannon Shearer, purchased the business in 1997 and have been running it since then (with a little bit of help from their two kids who grew up in the family business).

John & Shannon started Marine Research & Education, Inc., a non-profit designed to promote environmental awareness and the conservation of the Lake Tahoe Basin using simple, easy-to-understand methods and language. Visit their site to learn more!
