An exhilarating Sunday morning on August 6th 2023 marked an unforgettable fishing adventure for Cindy Hill with Tahoe Sport Fishing aboard their Hooper V. Guided by the very capable Captain Bobby and assisted by Deckhand Channing, an impressive 17-pound Mackinaw fell victim to the prowess of their customer, Hill. A thrilling 25-minute showdown ensued, a tug-of-war between angler and fish in less than 50 feet of water. A minnow was the bait trailed behind a dodger, strategically positioned around 10 feet above the lake bottom using the downrigger. In the end, Hill emerged victorious, showcasing both their determination and angling finesse. Jeff Taggart, who was celebrating his birthday, watched his friend catch the fish but he was the best net man aboard the vessel and was proud to show off his friends’ catch.
