As much as we love having little first mates aboard on our Public charters, we allow one child 5 and under to be free, and on our Private charters, we allow two children 5 and under free. They must share a fishing pole with an adult and share the adult’s fish limit of 5
Please remember that they’re your responsibility throughout the trip. Make sure they stay safe, happy, and clear of the crew so everyone can enjoy the day.

We have 6 Coast Guard Certified vessels in our fleet ranging in size from 30 feet to 45 feet.

We like to keep our charters nice and roomy and typically have 6-8 fishermen per boat on our public charters. We can accommodate larger groups on our private charters. All our boats are Coast Guard Certified. Our Island Hoppers are Coast Guard Certified for 12-15 passengers. Our Seahawks are Coast Guard Certified for up to 18 passengers and the Prophet is Coast Guard Certified for 35 passengers. Please be aware that for larger private groups only a certain amount of fishing lines will be in the water at one time.
-
We do not provide any food, but water is provided on every charter. Hot coffee is only provided for the morning charters. You are more than welcome to bring any additional food or drinks with you on the boat. All we ask is no glass bottles, no empty coolers and NO BANANAS! We will have coolers on board where you can store food and another cooler for all the caught fish.
-
We choose to be Coast Guard Certified because safety is our #1 priority. We go through extensive annual Coast Guard inspections including:
- Mandatory random drug testing for the crew and CPR Certification.
- High water alarms, which alerts when there is water too high within the vessel.
- Automatic fire extinguishers will automatically shut off the fuel if triggered, and extinguish fire in the engine room.
- All vessels have at least 36” railings for the safety of small children, which does not require children to wear life vests.
- All vessels have the required number of certified life preservers on board.
- All vessels have first aid kits, life rafts, life rings and strobe water lights on board.

Fishing is called fishing not catching for a reason. However, our captains are out on the lake 365 days per year and it is their job to help you catch fish. Lake Tahoe is a tricky lake to fish, but our skilled crew will guide you! It is important to listen to all instructions given to you from the crew so you as the angler can land fish in the boat!
-
Dress in layers so you are prepared for Lake Tahoe weather. Winters in Lake Tahoe are a dry cold – so dress in your winter attire!
Sunscreen, hats, gloves, a camera and your fishing license if you have one!
-
You can park in the Ski Run Marina lot for free during the winter months (approx mid Oct -April please check with our front office staff) All other times it is paid only. Otherwise, if you turn up Ski Run Boulevard away from the marina there is free parking on the side street Paradise Ave. Just make sure you allow ample time, approximately 10 minutes, to walk across highway 50 to the Ski Run Marina. You will receive a confirmation call the day before your trip of which they will confirm the parking status at that time.

A Public charter is ideal for parties from a single fisherman to 5 people. If your party is 6 or more it will be automatically considered a Private Charter. Private Charters ensure that it is just you and your party on the boat with your own crew and much more flexibility on what you are catching and where you are going. But overall it is the captains decision on where he will take you and what you will be fishing for. If you have a group of less than 6 and want a private charter you just need to pay the Private Charter rate for 6 guests even if you have less.
-
Everyone who is 16 and older is required to have a fishing license. Both California and Nevada fishing licenses work on Lake Tahoe. We have a CA Fish and Game license kiosk in our office and can issue you a 1-day license for $20.26 each. We can also issue 2-day, 10-day and annual fishing licenses.

The UPS store will ship fish. You must package it yourself with a styrofoam cooler and some dry ice (5.5 pounds or less of dry ice). Holes must be poked in the containerORyou can call your airline and ask what their stipulations areORIf neither of these options work for you you can take your fish to Macduffs Pub for them to cook up a feast where you can have your fish cooked three ways: Beer Battered with house made Tatar Sauce, Blackened with Zesty Remoulade and/or Sauteed with Cream Sherry Dill Sauce. Served with the following sides: hand cut french fries, homemade buttered peas and sauteed mixed vegetables along with a family sized farmers market salad.
