February Fishing Report | Tahoe Sportfishing

February delivered another strong month on Lake Tahoe.

We wrapped up the month with 265 total fish caught, continuing the steady winter Mackinaw bite we’ve been seeing this season.

Fishing conditions were excellent throughout the month. We found consistent action in the 170-foot range, with most fish coming in between 2–4 pounds. The weather was phenomenal, giving us calm lake days and great visibility, exactly what you hope for in February.

Fish of the Month 🎣

This great group (pictured below) landed a beautiful batch of Mackinaw on February 5th, pictured here with fish in the 2–4 lb range. A perfect example of the steady action we’ve been seeing all month.

Winter continues to be a reliable time to fish Lake Tahoe. Fewer crowds, stable conditions, and consistent Mackinaw action make February a great mid-season window.

We’re fishing daily and taking reservations as we head toward spring.

Hope to see you back out on the lake soon,

Tight lines,

The Tahoe Sportfishing Crew
